We HAVE MovED Out
We had our last online sale from ourlocation which ended on Aug 20, we had a live sale in Taneytown Sat Aug 24 and this last week of August we packed up and cleared out!
If you still have not heard the news, we left our location Aug 31, 2024. We will no longer be doing bi-weekly auctions. However, we WILL be doing onsite live and online auctions with won item pick up at the various auctions' locations.
We had been emailing and calling customers who still had items to pick up at our Sykesville location. As stated in our auction terms, customers had until Tues Aug 27 to pick up any remaining items.
At this point, any items that were left have been considered abandoned property, per the terms of the auction and no more pick ups will be conducted.

New to Real Estate Auctions?
It is no secret that the current economic times have been difficult for some and worrying for many. This is especially true in the real estate market where many homeowners are being forced to contend with foreclosures, short sales and other financial pitfalls in negotiating the sales of their properties. A popular and successful alternative to the traditional home sale process is to present the property at auction.
The time and expenses of carrying costs, repairs, upgrades, staging , general maintenance and other minutiae involved in preparing a home for traditional sale can quickly add up. In an auction, the property is sold "As-Is." There are no guarantees to offer or home inspections to negotiate between buyer and seller.
In addition, realtor commissions, fees, and other settlement costs are further reductions in a seller's total net profit from the sale of property. When selling at auction with Wachter Auctions and Appraisals, the seller's costs are generally limited to advertising fees - our commission comes from the buyer.
It is not unheard of in some markets for properties to sit on the market for six months to a year or even more when listed by owner or through an agent. We aim to settle within 30 days of auction, typically a maximum of 90 days from contract signing to settlement!

TESTIMONIALS
Nina Fletcher
Real Estate Auctions
"We used Wachter Auctions twice because we found the process was far less stressful and much faster than working with an agent, going back and forth with buyers, and making repairs. We did just as well on the sale price at auction as we have with past traditional real estate sales, but we far prefer the auction experience because it was so much easier on us. In the end, with less time spent on it, we made more money this way."

"We were very happy with our experience with W. Wachter Auctions. The staff is friendly and honest and hard working. We absolutely recommend selling your home at auction. You will be amazed at how fast and easy it is! And we got what we wanted from our sale price!"
ERIC CRAWFORD
Crawford Tire, Inc. Business Liquidation Auction
"I used Wachter Auctions when we closed our Bethesda location back in 2019. Scott’s knowledge and professionalism is unmatched. From cradle to grave he clearly communicated the logistics of the process and made everything extremely easy. With so many emotions and other stuff going while we closed the business it was comforting knowing that I was in good hands and Scott had our best interest in mind. Without a doubt Wachter Auctions will always be my recommendation when it comes to auctions and appraisals."
